About Boundaries… (Short)

When we think about boundaries, we often imagine a line we draw for others or a wall we build around ourselves.

But some of the most important boundaries are the ones we create within ourselves.

Inner boundaries ask us to become mindful of the emotions we allow to stay too long in our hearts:

resentment, guilt, comparison, self-abandonment, chronic worry, anger, and the quiet exhaustion that comes from saying yes when the soul means no.

Outer boundaries protect your energy from the world.

Inner boundaries protect your peace from becoming consumed by emotions that were never meant to live inside you forever.

Not every feeling should become a permanent resident in your body.

Some emotions are visitors.

Feel them. Learn from them. Then lovingly let them go sooner rather than later.

Healing begins the moment you stop abandoning yourself internally while trying to protect yourself externally.
