This week, I read a sign at the bakery that said:
Before the event: Faith
After the event: Gratitude.
I say:
Before the event… Gratitude
After the event… Gratitude
Before the event, gratitude says: “Thank you for the opportunity.”
After the event, gratitude says: “Thank you for the lesson, the memories, the people, and the version of me that emerged through it.”
A grateful heart doesn’t wait for perfect outcomes. It understands that every experience carries a gift, a message, or a moment of growth.
