A Letter to the Women Who Mother Us

Because not all mothers carry their children in the womb—some carry them in the heart.

Mother’s Day is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a moment to honor the women whose love shaped our world. Some gave us life, others gave us courage. Some raised us, others rescued us. Whether by birth, by choice, or by spirit, these women are the quiet architects of our lives.

In this post, I share a spoken-word letter—a love offering to mothers in every form: birth mothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, grandmothers, aunties, mentors, and all those who have mothered without a title. May this message reach them with the tenderness they’ve so often given in silence.

Because sometimes the most healing gift we can offer… is being seen.
