A Lesson in Faith: Would You Bring an Umbrella?

Our true feelings are hidden in our actions often unbeknownst to us. Here is a short story to illustrate my point.

After a long drought, the villagers went to the chief and asked for direction. After a long debate, it was decided that the last resort was to pray for rain. They set the day for the following Sunday when most people would be able to attend the prayer ceremony.

On the day of the prayer, hundreds of people showed up to pray. Only one boy brought an umbrella. That’s faith.

Do you show up with umbrellas in your life?

  1. Came upon your blog and enjoyed the little story about the faith of the little boy. I tell a lot of stories, do you know where this one comes from? Maybe from you?

    1. I don’t know where the story came from. I heard it before and decided to use my words to re-tell. It’s not mine. Feel free to use it😊. Many people could benefit from the message. I will be posting similar stories in the future.
