“Every morning think as you wake up:
I am alive,
I have a precious human life,
I am not going to waste it.
I am going to use all of my energies to develop myself,
To expand my heart out to others,
To achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.
I am not going to get angry,
Or think badly about others.
I am going to benefit others as much as I can.”
Honestly, I don’t follow the Dalai Lama every word or read everything he wrote. Even his twitter feed doesn’t get my attention every day. Simply put, these words set the intention for the day to honor me and serve others. And that’s a source of happiness.
Ps: His book “The Art of Happiness” is a must-read.
